Enhanced Safety Features +

SatSleeve Hotspot comes equipped with an SOS call button that works even if the smartphone isn’t connected. The SOS button will make an outgoing call to a predefined number set by the user or receive an incoming call.

Built-in compression +

To increase the speed when loading websites, the SatSleeve Hotspot can be used with 3 different access points (APNs). Select either high compression (no images will be downloaded for fastest website loading), low compression (images will be compressed), or no compression (full website content will be loaded). Depending on your requirements, select the most suitable APN in the GmPRS settings on your Thuraya SatSleeve Hotspot.

Thuraya Online Services +

We’ve created a more convenient way for you to access our satellite services. Simply, log on to http://services.thuraya.com/ for billing information, Prepaid or Postpaid accounts, and to send SMS messages online to Thuraya handsets.

Thuraya GmPRS - Connect a PC/laptop for email and Internet access +

The Thuraya SatSleeve Hotspot can also be used to access emails and browse the Internet via a satellite data connection (GmPRS). There are 3 different APNs available, allowing you to choose the settings which are the most convenient for you. These available APN-names are: ‘GET’ (standard APN with no compression), ‘GETLC’ (low compression, images are being compressed), and ‘GETHC’ (high compression, images will not be downloaded to reduce website loading time).

Thuraya Recharge Services +

Western Union® Quick PaySM service: Thuraya customers can now recharge pre-paid voice and data SIMs with no extra fee at over 220,000 participating Western Union agent locations. To top-up your Thuraya prepaid voice SIM card, visit a participating Western Union agent location, provide your identification and Thuraya phone number, and then re-load your prepaid SIM card with a cash payment. Family, friends and colleagues can also add pre-paid credit on behalf of a Thuraya user traveling abroad. Phone Recharge: This service enables you to acquire airtime online, using your credit card to recharge your Thuraya prepaid SIM instantly. You can also buy airtime by making a free call from your Thuraya handset. Simply dial the Thuraya toll-free number provided upon registering with FoneRecharge, and follow the voice prompts to select your recharge amount. Visit www.thurayarecharge.com to buy airtime now. Thuraya Cloud Refill: If you are a Thuraya Service Partner or distributor, you can now purchase prepaid airtime credit in bulk online and distribute it either directly to your end users or through your own distribution network.
